Eggnog Bourbon Cake with Salted Caramel

If you're like me and obsessed with all things baked, you probably follow Bake From Scratch on Instagram (@thebakefeed). I love everything they post and constantly add things to my "to-bake" list but never get around to actually baking them because life. This Eggnog Bourbon Cake finally changed that!

I kept the original cake and frosting recipes the same but added a bit of my salted caramel between each of the layers for a little extra sweet-saltiness. I also added a healthy drizzle on top, as you can see! The cake is perfectly seasonal without being in-your-face holiday flavored and the addition of bourbon in the syrup soak is so good!

I took this cake over to my work office when I went in for some meetings because there's nothing like sharing cake with coworkers! The gorgeous drive to my office takes me across the Columbia River Gorge in Washington (aka: one of the most beautiful places on Earth) so I stopped to snag a few photos because I couldn't help myself. 

This cake was super easy to make and very forgiving - I highly encourage you to try it if you're just dipping your toe in the baking pond!
